Rose Martina Wilson

Rose Martina Wilson, 88, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Sebring, Florida. She was born on April 16, 1924 to parents Luigi and Frances Martino in West Middletown, Ohio and had been a resident of Sebring, Florida since 1980, coming from Norfolk, Virginia. She retired from the Navy Civil Service as Parts Expediter for the U.S. Atlantic Carrier Fleet. She received many awards for her work, and was also a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Wilson was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, American Legion Post 25, Moose Lodge and active member of the Highlands Senior Center, Inc.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter, Judi Sanders of Flower Mound, Texas; brother, Paul Martina of Middletown, Ohio; nephew, Richard Rice of Sebring, Florida; her companion, Devon Wilckens of Sebring, Florida; and her longtime friend, Affie Twiford of Bradenton, Florida.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
