Rose Sabo Brest, 94 of Middletown died on Friday, January 30, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Middletown on February 16, 1909 to John and Rosa (Hazash) Sabo.
Rose was member of Holy Family Parish-St. John’s Church, Young at Heart, Holy Family Ladies Society.
Rose and her late husband John S. Brest owned and operated a farm in Ludlow Falls, they also operated a mattress and furniture business. In 1970 Rose returned to Middletown following her husband’s death to work for Stan Rothman as a seamstress in his furniture and mattress business.
She is survived by a sister Margaret Lickert, Middletown, two brothers Andrew Sabo, Middletown, Steve Sabo, Hamilton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Rose was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Graham, brothers Joe, Bernard, John and Mickey Sabo.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish-St. John’s Church, Father John Civille celebrant, interment at Woodside Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 4-6pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., at Bonita Drive.
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish, 201 Clark St., Middletown, Oh 45042 or the charity of donor’s choice.
