Rosemary E. Sandker, 87, of Monroe, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Cincinnati on March 29, 1926 to parents John Patrick and Augusta (Walker) Caster.

Rosemary had worked as a registered nurse at Fort Hamilton Hospital for 39 years, retiring in 1986. She was a 63 year member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Altar & Rosary Societies, was a member of the Middletown Area Senior Center and was an avid bridge player.

Mrs. Sandker is survived by her children, Mary Jo Knight, Frank J. (Doris) Sandker, Kenneth J. (Dorothy) Sandker, Fred Sandker, Gerry (Connie) Sandker & Therese C. McClish; sisters, Martha Miller & Yvonne (George) Stephens; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Sandker in 1986; parents; brothers, John P. Caster & Paul G. Caster; and sisters, Helen Sandker & Nancy Wiley.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe with Father Stephen Lattner as celebrant. There will be a gathering of family & friends prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Inurnment will be at a later date at North Monroe Cemetery.
