Roy Thomas Barker

Roy Thomas Barker, 69, of Gratis, died Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on June 6, 1943 to parents Roy and Edna (Woosley) Barker.

Mr. Barker is survived by his wife, Phyllis C. (Back) Barker; son, Bryan Barker; daughters, Cindy (Dwight) DePew & Kessie (Daniel) Peters; sisters, Jane (Mort) Hiler, Dorothy (James) Mehaffey, Betty Jo Tipton, Phyllis Turner & Alice Nickoson; brother-in-law, Ralph (Sandy) Back; grandchildren, Craven Barker, Dustin Moland, Sierrah Barker, Payton Barker, Brittany DePew, Samuel DePew, Thomas (Tiffany) DePew & Katie DePew; great grandchildren, Edge, Dylan, Jesse & Liam; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Barker; and sister, Sue Iker.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, 3023 N. Union Rd., Franklin with Thomas DePew officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the church. An additional funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb 19, 2013 at 11:00 am at Howards Mill Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Interment will be at Little Slate Cemetery in Bath County, Kentucky.
