Ruby M. Taylor

Ruby M. Taylor, 101, of Carlisle, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on March 21, 1915 to parents Frank and Mary (Hatton) Combs.

Ruby was a member of the Freedom House Church of God and was one of the members who helped start the Clothing and Food Pantry at the church.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her grandchildren, Glenna (Bob) Setters, Richard (Tammy) Pottorf & Ken (Cindy) Pottorf; brother, Eugene Combs; 10 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen Taylor in 1983; daughter, Shirley (Richard) Pottorf in 2008; granddaughter, Beth Ann Pottorf in 2014; parents; and 10 brothers & sisters.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Nurses Care, Bill Byrd & Hospice Care of Butler & Warren Counties for their caring & assistance with Ruby.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Larry Fultz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
