Ruth C. Maurer

Ruth C. Maurer, 90, of Middletown, died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, on September 2, 1917 to parents Harry and Blanche (Nixon) Markert.

Mrs. Maurer was past treasurer of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Dr. William F. Maurer of Peoria, IL, Marcia R. (Tim J.) Brown, and Carolyn J. Howard, both of Middletown; sister-in-law, Mary C. Maurer; six grandchildren, Mark J. Brown of Middletown, Chris T. Brown of Austin, TX, Jennifer A. (Eric) Davidson of Lockport, IL, Jeffery A. (Philistine) Maurer of Spokane Valley, WA, Rebecca Maurer of Park Ridge, IL, and Rachel Maurer of Park Ridge, IL; and great grandchildren, Jack, Alex, & Jordan Brown of Middletown, Ella & Jori Davidson of Lockport, IL, and Isabelle Maurer of Spokane Valley, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. S. Frederic Maurer; and her parents.

Private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Dean Penrod officiating.
