Ruth Elinor Crace, 86, resident of Middletown since 1946, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Life Care Hospitals of Dayton. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on December 28, 1923 to parents James and Esther (Whitt) Akers.
Mrs. Crace is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Ashland Crace Jr.; daughters, Karen (John) Granby and Donna (David) Spears; brother, William C. Akers; sisters, Virginia Baker and Joan Young; three grandchildren, Leslie (Mark Bonadonna) Spears, Diana Watson and Jonathan Granby; and one great grandchild, Ashley Watson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers & sisters.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the physicians and staff of Life Care Hospitals of Dayton for the outstanding care Ruth received during her hospitalization.
The family will receive friends and family Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Private interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family with Pastor Kevin Lawler officiating. The family will receive friends at the Crace home, 1704 Rayview St., Middletown, at 12:00 NOON on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
