Ruth Jones

Mary Ruth Jones (nee Irving), formerly of Middletown, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the age of 87, in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

Beloved wife to Joseph Henry Jones for 65 years; devoted mother to Linda (Rick) Ryan and Ken (BeeBee) Jones; dearest grandmother to four grandchildren, Rex Jaeger, Stephanie (Michael) Sessum, Jason (Elizabeth) Jones and Jacob (Bre) Jones; and six great grandchildren. Survived by sister, Carol Bishop; brothers, Don (Pam) Irving and Harold (Lois) Irving; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hank (Marge) Irving and Bill Irving; and brother-in-law, Terry Bishop.

Before marriage, Ruth worked for Baldwin Piano in Cincinnati, Ohio. She held several positions with the Middletown Public School System in the cafeterias and later as secretary at the Freshman High and Middletown High School counseling offices. She and Joe were avid golfers and spent their retirement years in Fort Myers, Florida.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 am on Monday. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Association/Greater Cincinnati Chapter, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
