Ruth Joy

Ruth Joy, 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. She was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on October 25, 1934 to parents, Millard and Maddie Taulbee.

Ruth was a successful business woman, owning Joy Tax Services for over 40 years. And even though that kept her quite busy, she was a very loyal and devoted wife and mother who was always there to support her family.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, Danny Joy & David Joy; daughter, Jennifer (Terry) Cornett; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Charles E. Joy; parents; brother, Ewing Taulbee; and sister, Nadine Chaney.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
