Ruth Elizabeth Madden, 94, of Franklin, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky on November 2, 1919 to parents John Elliott and Meda (Back) Stacy.
She married Elmer Madden September 2, 1939 in Hazard, Ky.
She worked at Wright Patterson AFB and during the 50's at NCR in accounting as an executive secretary for Gordon A. Lowden. She left NCR after the birth of her daughter, and enjoyed many years at the farm. She later spent summers at Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, and winters in Ft. Myers, Florida. She resided with her daughter and son-in-law for 17 years before moving to Renaissance Village.
Mrs. Madden is survived by her daughter, Eve (Roy) Dalton, two granddaughters Valerie (Jonathan) Griffin, and Monica (Mike) Hall, and two great grandchildren Levi and Elliott Griffin.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Madden May 22, 1995 and her parents.
Funeral service will be Tuesday May 13, 2014 at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
