Sadie Vandeventer

Sadie (Lovins) Vandeventer, 96, of Middletown,went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the home of her daughter, Sandra (Vandeventer) Wonderly.  Sadie was married to Curtis Vandeventer for 64 years before he passed away in 2010. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 2, 1927 to parents, Charlie & Emily (McQueen) Lovins.

Sadie is survived by her two daughters, Ann (Vandeventer) Burkhart & Sandra (Vandeventer) Wonderly; son-in-law, Michael Wonderly; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. 

In addition to her husband, Curtis and her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her two sons, Lowell Vandeventer of Indiana & Curtis Gene Vandeventer of Trenton, Ohio; and all of her brothers and sisters, Oakly Lovins, Effie (Lovins) Williams, Ernest Lovins, Cora (Lovins) Herald & Gordon Lovins.

Sadie lived a big part of her life in Woodsdale, Ohio, where many neighbors still remember the Vandeventer family, Curt, Sadie, Sandra, Gene & Lowell Vandeventer. She had a wonderful full life and will be missed by many! WE LOVE YOU MAMA! 

Funeral Service will be Monday, October 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, Middletown, with her grandson, Ryan Wonderly officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
