Sharon Rice

Sharon (Susie) L. Reedy Rice, age, 60, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on November 26, 1963. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Joan Reedy and her sister, Patty Zurkey. Sharon loved her family and she will be greatly missed by her father, William "Bud" Reedy; brothers, Doug (Theresa) Reedy, Ron (Debbie) Reedy and Mark(Cherie) Reedy; sister, Jane (William) Phillips. Her son, Roland; her beloved grandchild, Brynlee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon lived most of her life in Georgia and was employed as a paralegal at a law firm in LaGrange, Georgia. Private services have been held for the family.

On Angel's Wings

Susie, our beautiful baby girl, you tried so hard to hold on. With unwavering courage and with the spirit of a warrior you never gave up, you just had to move on to your final destination. We were ships in the night, in the sea of life. Always knowing that it is Love that shines like a beacon of light guiding us through our darkest hours. In a complicated world, I saw you in a dream, walking in a vast desert searching for an oasis, only stopping to take a sip of water to sustain. The suffering is over now, and I know you are at peace, no more strain to keep going, no more pain. You once told me, your pride and joy was your sweet granddaughter. She is so precious. I know your spirit will live on in her heart. As the summer season unfolds, I will think of you when the fireflies light and the stars glow bright. The memory of your determination and strength will always be with me. I take comfort in knowing you are now our Angel watching over us. Rest easy my Dear sister, rest easy.
