Sharon "Sherry" Rose Fishbaugh

Sharon Rose Fishbaugh, 66, of Middletown, died Saturday, February 4, 2017, at home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 7, 1951 to parents Walter and Wanda (Lewis) Fening.

Sherry was a graduate of Fenwick High School and Miami University, and earned her master`s degree in communications from Bowling Green State University. She went on to enjoy a remarkable career as a writer, editor, promoter and audio/visual professional for a number of companies and organizations, including the former Armco communications department and Re:Source. She wrote with passion and purpose, and prided herself in elevating the profile of every organization she worked for.
An accomplished competitive swimmer growing up, Sherry was a leader of the Sunset, YMCA and Dayton Dolphins swim teams. While attending Fenwick, she excelled in basketball and track, winning not only games and contests, but setting the standard for young women to aspire to in a time where women`s athletics was just catching on.

Mrs. Fishbaugh is survived by her husband, Rick Fishbaugh; children, Micah (Jenn) Fening, David (Amy) Fishbaugh and Tina Paparo; siblings, Chris (Liz) Fening, Tim Fening, Mike (Suzanne) Fening, Brady (Shannon) Fening, Ed (Beth Hurst) Fening, Diane Arant, Tracy Fening, Lara (Greg) Moore and; 7 grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Mary Fening and infant sister Mary Fening.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
