Shirley A. Henderson

Shirley A. Henderson, 75, of Franklin Township, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Newport, Kentucky on September 5, 1941 to parents Burl and Eva (Walling) Butler.

Shirley had worked as a waitress at B & B Restaurant. She then devoted her time to being a loving wife and mother and raising her family. She was an active member of Grace Gospel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir and was active with the Ladies Groups.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband, Martin Henderson; three children, Jackie (Roger) Cupp, Shannon (Sharon) Sinclair & Rachel Ann Henderson; step-son, Marty D. (Shannon) Henderson; brothers, Harold (Loretta) Butler, Leroy (Sherry) Butler & Jimmy (Peggy) Butler; sisters, Sue (Ralph) Lyons, Pam (Ted) Bogie & Jean (Elmer) Campbell; and grandchildren, Charity Cupp, Tessa Sinclair & Lisa Marie Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Butler & Dale Butler; sister, Lillie Mae Butler; and an infant son, Wayne Baldridge.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Grace Gospel Baptist Church, 5755 Fairview Dr., Carlisle with Pastor Mike Worrell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Union Township Cemetery.
