Shirley Marie Hendrickson

Shirley Marie Hendrickson, 86, of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at her home. She was born in Middletown on December 29, 1931 to parents John and Florence (Hetzler) Collinsworth.

Shirley loved to travel. She also enjoyed shopping, dancing, singing, reading, watching movies (especially musicals) and having her GNO (Girls Night Out) with her friends. Shirley was a devoted grandmother and each year she would put on a Christmas Play in her house, starring her grandchildren, where she would make all the sets and costumes.

Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by her sons, Jim (Sharon) Hendrickson, John (Rebecca) Hendrickson & Tom Hendrickson; daughter, Suzanne (Kirk) Mellendorf; sister, Virginia (Boyd) Smith; brother, Don Collinsworth; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Rex, Molli (Joe), Meagan (Eric), Jackie (Sam), Stephen, Katelin & Kelly (Clayton); great grandchildren, Everett & Theo; and caregiver, Nikki Mullins-Chari. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Mack” Hendrickson; parents; and sister, Janet Collinsworth.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
