Sidney A. Medley

Sidney A. Medley, 95, of Middletown, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Bickford Assisted Living. He was born in Middletown on June 16, 1922 to parents Robert V. and Malinda V. (Linville) Medley.

Sid worked as an electrician and was a proud member of IBEW Local #648 for 75 years. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, serving in Germany, and was a member of American Legion Post #218. He was a founding member of St. Luke United Presbyterian Church and was also a member of Middletown Area Senior Citizens.

Mr. Medley is survived by his children, Janet E. (Steve) Huff, John (Johnna) Medley & Susan (Bruce) Sant; grandchildren, Steve (Nancy) Huff Jr., Lisa (Rick) Friedline, John Andrew (Danielle) Medley, Kerry (Chad) Fuller & Samuel (Sara) Sant; eight great grandchildren; and special niece, Kristi Roberts. He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 49 years, Betty J. (Gruenloh) Medley and his parents.

The family wishes to express their special thanks to Bickford Assisted Living and Hospice Care of Middletown for their wonderful care.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at St. Luke United Presbyterian Church, 280 N. Breiel Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dick Sedgwick officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
