Silas C. Mcquinn

Silas C. McQuinn, 94, of Middletown, died Monday, January 9, 2017, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Burbon, Wolfe County, Kentucky on December 15, 1922 to parents Shirley V. and Delphia (Reynolds) McQuinn Sr.

Silas had worked in maintenance for Middletown Paper Board, retiring in 1987. He raised harness horses and was a harness racing enthusiast for more than 50 years. He served in the 3C's and was a member of the United States Trotting Association.

Silas loved his family and will be greatly missed by his children, Judy Smith, Brenda McQuinn, Scott (Jen) McQuinn & Leasa Seemann; grandchildren, Terry Adams, Greg (Marina) Adams, Johnie (Angela) Adams & Adam Seeman; great grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Brandon & Elena; and brother, Shirley (Judy) McQuinn Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura A. (Smallwood) McQuinn; parents; brothers, Paul, Kenneth & Charles; and sisters, Joyce, Rose, Hazel, Mildred, Ruby, Betty & Eileen.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
