Stavro Nicholas “Steve” Ververis, 57 of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on January 15, 1966, to parents, Nicholas and Thalia (Thomas) Ververis.
Stavro was a graduate of Madison High School in Middletown, Ohio, and the Culinary Institute of
America in New York. He was the proud owner of No. 2 Sons catering that he operated for many years. Stavro loved to cook and share the Greek hospitality with friends and family. Stavro was devoted and very active in his church, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where he was a member.
Stavro is survived by his father Nicholas Ververis, brothers; Dean Ververis of Cincinnati, OH, Chris
(Barbara) Ververis of Middletown, OH and Angelo (Stacy) Ververis of Superior, MT., nieces and nephews; Mica (David) Young, Nicholas Ververis, Kaleb Ververis, Alex (John) Petersen, Mark Trent and Josh (Shelbi) Trent. He is further survived by many great nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart along with numerous Theas, Theos, cousins and friends.
In addition to his Yiayias and Papous, he is preceded in death by his mother, Thalia Ververis and niece, Ashley Ververis.
Visitation will be September 6, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:00 am at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2500 Grand Avenue, Middletown, OH, 45044. AHEPA service will begin at 10:00 am followed by the funeral service with Father Anthony Cook officiating.
Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum. Stavro was very passionate in his support of many organizations that were close to his heart.
