Stephen E. Townsend

Stephen E. Townsend, 54, of Franklin, died August 18, 2006 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born August 23, 1951, in Natural Bridge, Alabama. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Monnig) Townsend and father of Sean, Katie, & Emily Rose. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Townsend. He is survived by his father Lecil Townsend; twin brother Danny Townsend; sisters Debby Golden & Missy Dennon; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Donald & Patricia Monnig of Kettering; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve was a graduate of Franklin High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed by Texas Eastern in Middletown for the past 31 years.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Rev. Nolan Phillips officiating. Visitation will be prior to service from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
