Stephen M. Daley

Stephen M. Daley, 60, of Middletown, died on September 24, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Hamilton, on April 30, 1950 to parents Robert M. and Mabel J. (Strapak) Daley. Steve served in the Ohio National Guard from 1968 to 1974..

Mr. Daley was a Middletown police officer for 20 years. He was known as "Padre" to many people. Steve enjoyed and was always willing to help family and friends in their various projects. He enjoyed his hobby as a D.J. known as "Sweet Stevie D". His pride and joy were his grandchildren. Steve worked for Johnson Controls at AK Steel for 10 years and worked part time at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home.

Steve is survived by his wife Virginia (Diorio) Daley; one daughter: Kathleen (James) Kremer; one son: James (Amber) Daley; two sisters: Karen (Mike) Mitsoff and Mary (Tony) Black; three brothers: Dennis (Becki) Daley, Brian (Judy) Daley and Michael Daley; granddaughter, Shelby Kremer; grandson, Noah Kremer and numerousnieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill and Paul Daley and sister, Kathleen Daley.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown.
