Stephen R. Earley

Stephen R. Earley, 50, of Duluth, Minnesota, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at St. Mary´s Medical Center. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 24, 1953, the son of Betty and the late John E. Earley.

Steve grew up in Middletown, graduated from Middletown High School, and attended Miami University.

A talented musician, he traveled and played in many professional bands. Later, he became a property manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Music continued to be important in his life. He and other musicians often played their instruments together simply for the joy of making music. Steve also enjoyed building and flying gasoline powered model airplanes, and writing stories, songs, and poetry.

Steve is survived by his mother, Betty B. Earley; a brother, John A. (Mary) Earley of Avon Lake, OH; sisters, Anne (John) Bobincheck of Milton, WA, Vicki Evans of Middletown, OH, and Nancy (Phil) Shafer of West Milton, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Earley in 1999; and a nephew, Arthur Bobincheck in 1978.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 28, 2004 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Ave., Middletown, with Reverend Tom Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
