Steve Grimes

Steve Grimes, fondly known as Bubba, 67, of Middletown, died Saturday, December 27, 2014. He was born in Middletown on April 12, 1947 to parents Robert S. and Marjorie (McCullough) Grimes.

Steve graduated from Talawanda High School in 1965. He proudly gave 8 years of service in the United States Air Force. He served two tours in Vietnam, 1967-68 and 1969-70. He was a member of the VFW Post 3809, American Legion Post 218, DAV #131 and was a member of the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. He worked 34 years for the United States Postal Service.

Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Chris (Santoro) Grimes; son, Robbie Grimes, his wife, Denise, and their children, Courtney, Jadyn, Branden & Bradyn; daughter, Erin Landis, her husband, Jeremy, and their children, Eleanor & Gage; sisters, Jane Ann (Garry) Day & Mary Alice (Gene) Santoro; brothers, Bill (Millie) Kuth, Mike (Elaine) Kuth, Tom (Susan) Grimes & Don (Susie) Grimes; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Mary Jane Grimes.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
