Sue A. Butcher

Memorial Services for Sue A. Butcher will be held Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Middletown with Reverend Dean Penrod officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. Butcher, 75, of Middletown, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Stone, Kentucky on October 20, 1934 to parents Frank and Dolly (Kelly) Appleton.

Sue was a Middletown area resident since 1959. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with B.S. and M.A. degrees, she taught high school in Trenton for 3 years before raising a family. She then worked for 20 years as a senior instructor at Miami University before retiring in 1993. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Butcher is survived by her sons, David Butcher and John (Stephanie) Butcher and granddaughter, Hailey Segall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Butcher in 1993; her parents; and sister, Peggy York.
