Sylvester “Jr.” Stidham, 78, of Monroe, Ohio, died on October 31, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 12, 1925 to parents Albert and Dora Lee (Simpson) Stidham.
Mr. Stidham served in the Army in World War II. He was a member of the Disabled American Verterans. He loved to fish and was very active with softball. He is in several local softball halls of fame.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Larry and Sylvester “Syl” Stidham.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy (Glover) Stidham; one daughter: Janice (Estel) Smith of Sebring, FL; three sons: Albert (Becki) Stidham of Loveland, OH, Clifford (Andrea) Shrive of Cincinanti, Christopher Shrive of Oakland, CA; one sister: Mary E. Miller of Hamilton; one brother: Bernard Stidham of Hamilton; brother-in-law, Samuel (Wanda) Glover of Bethel; 12 grandchildren including Darlene Young and Lori Repp; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews and many special friends and associates at USSSA.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2003 at 7:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, November 3, 2003 from 5-7 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH .
Memorial donations may be made to Charity of donor´s choice.
