Thelma Barrett, 66, of Monroe, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at 9:12 pm. She was born in Lebanon, Ohio on April 10, 1947 to parents Dan and Oma (DeHart) Hamilton.
Thelma was a 1965 graduate of Lakota High School. She was employed by Patheon Pharmaceuticals in Reading, Ohio, retiring in March 2013 with 33 ½ years of service. She was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lowell Barrett; daughter, Sharon (Shane) Sinclair; son, Jason Barrett; granddaughter, Tessa Sinclair; mother Oma Hamilton; brothers, Dennis (Marion) Hamilton & Kenneth (Alice) Hamilton; sisters, Reva (Mike) Cook, Debbie (Rob) Phillips & Linda Hamilton; and numerous other family members & friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Hamilton; brother, Raymond Hamilton; & nephew, Danny Barnett.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Ave., Monroe with Reverend Timothy Waugh officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown and Friday, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, Ohio 45005.
