Thelma L. Pugh

Thelma L. Pugh 94, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home. She was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on July 27, 1929 to parents,  Benjamin and Madeline L. (Phipps) Wells.

Thelma devoted her time to making a loving home for her family, always cooking wonderful meals, sewing beautiful quilts and making sure everyone felt comfortable and loved. She especially loved being a grandma. Thelma was a devout Christian and enjoyed her Bible study.

Thelma is survived by her sons, Steve (Joan) Pugh & John Pugh; daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Helton, Lajona (Mark) Bradley & April Pugh; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Buster Pugh; son, Anthony Pugh; daughter-in-law, Peggy Pugh; 7 brothers & sisters; and 2 grandchildren, Teri Snelling & Anthony Pugh II. 

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
