Thomas B. Snelling, 59, of Carlisle, died Thursday, October 23, 2003, at his residence. He was born in Middletown on February 13, 1944 to parents Claude and Estella Mae (Borders) Snelling, Sr..
Tom worked in technical repair at Armco Steel Corp. for 31 years, retiring in 1994. He also owned Snelling Communications. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Tom was past president of Dial Radio Club and past activities manager, his call sign is WA8AGQ, and he enjoyed antique cars.
Tom is survived by his wife, Genevieve M. Snelling of Carlisle; one daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Rose of Franklin; one son, Thomas David Snelling of West Carrollton; a granddaughter, Autumn Jewell Rose; three sisters: Betty (Marvin) Derth of Middletown, Kathy (John) James of Trenton, and Cheryl Snelling of Monroe; seven brothers, Bill (Ruth) Snelling of Middletown, Paul (Corrine) Snelling of Florida, John (Linda) Snelling of Trenton, Jack Snelling of Trenton, Eugene (Reed) Snelling of Middletown, Larry (Kathy) Snelling of Middletown, and Michael (Shirley) Snelling of Carlisle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Claude Jr., Rick, and Donald Snelling; and one sister, Eloise Snelling.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 27, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Reverend Phil Moon officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Springboro Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Franklin First Church of God - Youth Building Fund, 704 S. River St., Franklin, OH 45005.
