Thomas D. Murray

Thomas Dwight Murray, 85, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at home. An accomplished advertising executive, professional writer, amateur photographer and private pilot, Murray was born in Middletown on May 1, 1923 to Charles H. and Rose N. Murray.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Murray; four children, Cynthia Abramson, Susan Guthrie, David Murray and Piper Murray; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his first love and devoted companion for the last decade of his life, Louise Knight of Santa Barbara, California.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Church of the Ascension, 2709 McGee Ave., Middletown.
