Thomas G. Chamberlain, 84, of Trenton, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Trenton on October 10, 1924 to parents William and Vivian (Fifer) Chamberlain.
Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II, serving in the 104th Infantry Division "The Timberwolves" and he was in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked as a fabricating department foreman for Armco Steel, retiring in 1985 after 40 years. He was a member of the D.A.V. #131, the American Legion Post 218, the VFW, the National Timberwolf Association, the Trenton Moose Lodge #330 and Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Chamberlain is survived by his three children, Thomas G. (Ninfa) Chamberlain II, Janis (James) Patrick and Steve (Rosann) Chamberlain; three grandchildren, Thomas G. Chamberlain III, Brandi (Robert) Ballantyne and Annie Patrick; and two great grandchildren, Katie Ballantyne and Connor Ballantyne.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Chamberlain in 2006; his parents; and brothers, Ralph, Paul, Carl & Robert Chamberlain.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain Dennis Betts officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
