Thomas Howard Saylor, Sr.

Thomas Howard Saylor, Sr., 55, of Middletown, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 23, 1952 to parents Albert and Patricia (Daley) Saylor.

Tom graduated from Middletown High School in 1972 and served in the Middletown Army National Guard. Through the years, Tom was involved in the Middletown PeeWee Football program and he coached a semi-pro football team and women's softball teams. He helped run the Saturday morning Youth Bowling Program at Eastern Lanes for 22 years and helped with security at All American Weekend and the Middletown Police Explorers.

Mr. Saylor is survived by his wife of 28 years, Grace (Sowers) Saylor; three sons, Jason Sowers, Sean (Jaime) Sowers, and Tommy (Holli) Saylor Jr.; his mother, Patricia Saylor; four sisters, Donna Day, Bev Margerum, Marie (Rich) Manning, and Lori Saylor; a brother, Mark (Penny) Saylor; two granddaughters, Kelsee Saylor and Hunter Sowers; a grandson, Trent Saylor; and many close aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and the special staff and friends of Kensington Place Nursing Home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Saylor; and grandmother, Sylvia Saylor.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Jim Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
