Kraft, Thomas J.

Thomas J. Kraft, 78, of Middletown, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown on June 1, 1937 to parents Carl and Mary (Balaz) Kraft.

Thomas served his country in the United States Army. He was in the transportation department at Armco Steel for 38 years retiring in 1994. Tom was a member of Holy Family Parish and coached CYO basketball for 50 years. He also coached grade school baseball and soccer and enjoyed bowling and golfing.

Mr. Kraft is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lawson; son, Kevin (Michelle) Kraft; daughter, Amy Kraft; brothers, Jim (Jeanne) Kraft and John (Kathy) Kraft; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery at a later date.
