Thomas J. Smith

Thomas J. Smith, 89, formerly of Middletown, Ohio died on Monday, October 31, 2022 at his home in Delray Beach, Florida. He was born in Middletown on November 27, 1932 to parents, Clarence F. & Catherine (Mulligan) Smith.

Tom worked in corrugated sales for Akers Packaging. He was a veteran of the United States Army. While living in Middletown Tom was a member of Holy Family Parish. He was an avid sportsman, loved the outdoors and traveling .

Tom is survived by his daughter, Julie Buchholz; son, David (Karen) Smith; sister, Ruthie Smith; three grandchildren, Rachel Buchholz, Skylar Smith & Mark (Kat) Smith; one great grandchild, Kai Smith; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Hazelwood) Smith; sons, Thomas J. Smith II and Tim Smith; grandson, David Clarence Smith; parents; and siblings, Mary Akers, Jim Smith & Eileen Gladman.

Prayer Service will be Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Father John Civille officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
