Thomas R. Swank, Sr.

Thomas Ralph Swank, Sr., 69, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown on July 1, 1953 to parents, Thomas, Sr. and Martha Ann (Bowers) Swank.

Tom worked for Armco/AK Steel in the BOF, retiring in 2006 after 34 years with the company. He was a very active Boy Scout when growing up, earning his Eagle Scout and his God and Country Award. He continued to enjoy being outdoors and loved to fish. He also enjoyed painting and woodworking.

Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Ralph (Lisa) Swank, Jr.; mother, Martha Ann Swank; brothers, Steve Swank & Jerry (Carolyn) Swank; sister, Melanie (Bill) Alderton; four grandchildren, Tyler Gardner, Trevor Swank, Taylor Swank & Thomas Swank; and two great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Swank.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Reverend Kim Armentrout officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 -11:00 am at the funeral home.
