Uva Elizabeth Duff

Uva Elizabeth Duff, 98, of Middletown, died Friday, December 21, 2007, at Liberty of Middletown. She was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky on July 24, 1909 to parents Clint and Nannie Lee (Tout) Cox.

Uva and Dudley opened Duff's Cafe in 1939 to be joined later by Pauline Tewart and Alleen and Jack Evans. Jack continued the Duff's tradition until 1985.

Mrs. Duff was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Duff in 1975; her only son, Dudley Duff Jr. in 1944; her parents; brother, Millard Cox; sisters, Mary Moreland, Ruby Burnett, and Pauline Tewart.

She is survived by her sister, Alleen Evans; sister-in-law, Catherine Duff; and many nieces, nephews, & friends.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
