Velma Eileen Klamo Brelsford

Velma Eileen Klamo Brelsford, 78, of Middletown, passed away Sunday September 26, 2004 at Christ Hospital. She was born October 21, 1925 to William and Eva (Beaty) Rupp in Middletown, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Cyprian Klamo in 1979, her sister Virginia South, and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 13 years Jack Brelsford, her daughter Carol (Johnny) Batson of Centerville, her son Larry (Deb) Klamo of Middletown, her step-daughter Pam (Phil) Gable of Cincinnati, 5 granddaughters Sara Gaible of Chicago, IL, Abby (Scott) Sexton of Trenton, Nicki Batson of Cleveland, Tracy Klamo of Cincinnati, Kelly Batson of Centerville, grandson Dr. Ryan Gaible of Columbus, beloved great granddaughter, Mercedez Eileen Batson of Centerville, a brother Bill (Marge) Rupp of Franklin and many nieces and nephews.

Velma will be missed by all the people she touched in her life and the friends she made along the way. She was very active in many organizations in Middletown and in many capacities. AARP, Accents, ABWA, where she was voted Woman of the Year, Beta Sigma Phi Lauretta, Beta Kappa Chapter, Federation of Women’s Groups, Middletown Symphony Women’s Association, Women’s Center, PEERS, Towne and Country Garden Club, Cotillion, The Elks, Women of the Moose Chapter 183 Middletown, as well as being very active in her church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to the Diabetes Association PO Box 2680 North Canton, Ohio 44720 or the American Heart Association PO Box 182039 Dept. 013 Columbus, Ohio 43218.

Visitations will be at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) on Wednesday September 29, 2004 from 5-8 pm.

Funeral Services will be at First Christian Church 4520 Rosedale Rd. on Thursday September 30, 2004 at 10 am with Rev. Terry VanHeyningen officiating.

Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
