Vergie E. Schultz

Vergie E. Schultz, 89, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Franklin on July 30, 1921 to parents Ray and Rosa (Fitzwater) Scott.

Vergie worked as an inspector at Monsanto for 26 years, retiring in 1983.

Mrs. Schultz is survived by her daughter, Kathy Lynn (Mark) Schumacher; brother, John Scott; sister, Lucille Fitzwater; two grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Miller & April Jarbo; one step grandchild, Luke Schumacher; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Harry E. Schultz; parents; brother, William Scott; and sisters, Jean Boian, Lillian Rice, Grace Lainhart & Esther Lane.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the services that helped to care for Vergie during her illness.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Reverend Ken Angel officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420-1885.
