Vernon E. “Nane” Maloney, 70, of Wayne Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Epperly, West Virginia on October 1, 1946 to parents Vernon and Virginia Estelle (Southern) Maloney.
Vernon was a mechanic for Armco/AK Steel Corp, retiring in 2001 after 36 years.
Mr. Maloney is survived by his wife of 51 ½ years, Brenda (Terrell) Maloney; three children, KristaLee D. Maloney, Jim (Angie) Maloney & Mindy (Dean) Maloney; seven grandchildren, Brian French, Taylor Bowman, Trent Maloney, Megan Maloney, Chloe Smith, Cohen Smith & Cash Smith; sister, Janet (Gene) Cox; mother-in-law, Zonetta Terrell; brothers-in-law, Mitch, Jack & Dave Terrell; as well as many nieces, nephews & close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David Maloney & Mikey Maloney; father-in-law, Charles "Red" Terrell; and brother-in-law, Butch Terrell.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown, 3909 Central Ave., Middletown, OH 45044.
