Viola M. Meyer

Viola M. (Kropp) Meyer, 94, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Patriot Heights Healthcare Center. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 2, 1914 to parents Joseph Andrew and Clara Pauline (Latscha) Kropp.

Viola had worked for McAlpins, retiring in 1981. She was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish.

She is survived by her sons, James P. (Julie) Meyer, Donald J. (Jenni) Meyer and Richard R. (Michelle M.) Meyer; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Meyer; daughter, Virginia C. Gerrety; parents; and brothers, Paul J. Kropp and Julius A. Kropp.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
