Violet A. Mail

Violet A. (Hall) Mail, 90, of Middletown, passed away on June 7, 2013, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Powell County, Kentucky on February 18, 1923 to parents Amos A. and Zanna (Townsend) Hall. She was a member of the graduating class of 1942 from Monroe High School. She placed 1st and 2nd in History and English, respectively, on the regional scholastic tests at Miami University her senior year. She postponed continuing her education to work at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, DE. She was well read, especially in American and English history.

Mrs. Mail is survived by her daughter, Valerie Napoli of Old Saybrook, CT; son, John (Cindy) Mail of Middletown; sister, Kathleen Foehl of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Natalie (Jeff) Agoos of Park Ridge, NJ, Douglas Jowett of Guilford, CT, Adam (Julie) Jowett of Ocean Springs, MS, Jennifer (Greg) Urban of Clinton, CT, Leslie (Henry) Astor of Cotswold, England, Matthew Mail of Middletown, OH, Christopher Mail Liberty Twp., OH, David Mail of Woodstock, GA, Sarah Mail of West Carrollton, OH & Alex Mail of West Chester, OH; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adam; son, James; a brother & two sisters. She had many wonderful friends & family members whom she cherished.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 14 at 11:00 AM at Woodside Cemetery Chapel, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown with Chaplain John Love officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:00 AM. After the service, her ashes will be scattered in the memorial garden. We are forever grateful to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties as well as the support of many loving family members and friends.
