Virgie M. Murphy

Virgie Murphy, 76, of Middletown, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Mercy Hospital Fairfield. She was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on April 11, 1935 to parents Ransom and Baltie (Shell) Middleton.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her son, Lonnie Harris Middleton and grandson, Ben (Julie) Edwards; great grandchildren, Cody and Ben Jr. and many nieces and nephews who loved and treasured her.

Virgie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles G. Murphy; son, Toney Robin Middleton; brothers, Dillon, Jewell and Cleve Middleton; and sisters, Naomi Sargent and Orphia Hager.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
