Virginia Lee Smith

Virginia Lee Smith, 88, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on November 24, 1930 to parents John O. and Florence E. (Hetzler) Collinsworth.

Virginia was an active member of Monroe Presbyterian Church. She was very involved in her community, enjoyed tole and decorative painting and was known for her chocolate chip cookies.

Mrs. Smith was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by her husband, Boyd A. Smith; daughters, Kim (Doug) Smith King, Kathy Smith & Jennifer (Ted) Tomilson; brother, Don Collinsworth; five grandchildren, Jay King, Kristin Kelsey, Scott Tomilson, Rachel Tomilson & Kayla Tomilson; and three great grandchildren, Graham, Rowan & Linnea Kelsey.She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Shirley Hendrickson & Janet Collinsworth.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at Monroe Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Elm Street, Monroe with Reverend Jeri Baker officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
