Virginia Williams

Virginia "Ginny" Williams, 61, of Middletown, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Germantown on March 17, 1941 to parents Edwin and Anita (Turner) Long.

Ginny graduated from Monroe High School in 1959, and married Bruce N. Williams February 14, 1969. She worked for Middletown Regional Hospital as a medical transcriptionist for 37 years. She was a very active member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she participated in many of the women's groups and sang in the choir. She served as the church office manager for the last 6 years. Ginny was a very cheerful, loving, caring person who touched many lives in the community and loved her two cats, Tillie and Randy.

Ginny is survived by her husband Bruce N. Williams of Middletown; a son, Jeff D. (Stacey) Williams of Middletown; her sisters Barbara (Jim) Heskett, Linda Long, and Martha Long, all of Middletown, and Sandra (Burchel) Davidson of Franklin; 2 nephews; and 4 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 25, 2002 at 10:30 AM at Christ United Methodist Church, with Reverends Lisa Ellison, Paula Marbury and David Harris officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita, and Friday morning prior to the service at the church, from 10:00 - 10:30 AM.
