Wade J. Carder, Sr.

March 27, 1929 — April 18, 2004

Wade J. Carder, Sr., 75 years old, went to be with the Lord with family members at his side, Sunday April 18, 2004, at 8:45am. He was born in Perry County, Kentucky on March 27, 1929, son of George and Ollie (Combs) Carder.

While here on Earth, Wade brought wisdom, knowledge, courage, and strength and taught morals, values, and how to love unselfishly to those who had the privilege to cross paths with him. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Trenton. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #218 and Loyal Order of Moose #501. He retired as a Millwright from Sorg Paper Company in 1991, after 38 years of service. He enjoyed livestock farming with his sons Wade Jr. and Carmine. As a young man he worked in the coalmines of Kentucky. Wade enjoyed fishing with his children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters, and working on cars. He was a completely devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother.

Wade is survived and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Judy Carrozza Carder; a son, Carmine (Leslie) Carder; three daughters, Pamela J. (Kevin Kinder) Carder, Janice E. (Mike Williams) Carder, and Jacqueline K. (Frank) Robinson all of Trenton, OH; grandchildren, Rickey (Becky Nafe) Hamilton, Jr., Joseph (Danielle) Hamilton, Thomas Hamilton, Antonio Carder, Mario Carder, Alesha Williams, Chastity Carder, Christina 'Maria' Roberts, Tiffany Carder, Ali Williams, Kayla Kinder, and Courtney Carder; great grandchildren, Isaac Shaw Hamilton, Hailey Hamilton and one on the way; brothers, George (Pauline) Carder and Don (Connie) Carder; sisters, Jane Walters and Marian (Ray) Young; many nieces & nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Wade J. Carder, Jr.; parents, George & Ollie Carder; a great grandson, Rickey Hamilton III; brothers Wilburt, Herman, Glenn, & Jack Carder; and a sister, Betty Jo Carder.

A special thanks to Tommy Hamilton for his time, love, & support he gave his Papaw.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 22, 2004 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Trenton, 305 Cypress, with Pastor Keith Spencer officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
