Wallace B. Slone

Wallace B. Slone, 59, of Monroe, died Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on August 13, 1953 to parents Wallace B. Sr. and Mary Alice (Saylor) Slone.

Wallace worked as a train engineer at AK Steel for 32 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #3458.

Mr. Slone is survived by his wife, Martina (Byrd) Slone; son, Jon (Nicole) Slone; daughters, Heather (Tandyn) Lippert & Siobhan Slone; mother, Mary Alice Slone; brother, Robert (Amy) Slone; sister, Lettie (William) Schmidt; grandchildren, Benjamin Slone, Kiley Slone, Alexander Lippert & Makayla Lippert; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and nephew, William Schmidt.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Carroll Starkey officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, OH 45011 or the charity of donor's choice.
