Walter N. Stacy, 86, of Monroe, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Jackson, Kentucky on May 24, 1927 to parents Arch and Lilly (Hales) Stacy.

Walter attended Eastern Kentucky University and University of Cincinnati. He worked for Aeronca for 20 years, was a teacher at Middletown High School for 21 years and owned a local tire business. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 218 and VFW #3809.

Mr. Stacy is survived by his wife, Betty (Little) Stacy; son, Alan (Karen) Stacy; brothers, Roger Stacy & Arch Stacy Jr.; grandchildren, Meredith Kinsel-Ziter, Adam Stacy, Jessica Lynn Shabotta, Shawn P. Stacy & Amelia Heffelman; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Walter L. Stacy; parents; & sister, Linda Sue Dobson.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 12:00 noon at First Christian Church, 4520 Rosedale Rd., Middletown with Reverend Laureen Roe officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 12:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Beattyville, Kentucky on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church DOC, 4520 Rosedale Rd., Middletown, Ohio 45042 OR Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420-1885.
