Will Henry Clemons, 85, of Middletown, Ohio died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Jackson, Kentucky on April 24, 1927 to parents Henry and Laura (Mann) Clemons.
Will was a member of Middletown Sportsman's Club. He was an avid Trap Shooter and shot in the Grand American Trap Shooting Event in Vandalia, Ohio for several years. Will served in the United States Army during World War II. After his discharge he was employed by General Motors, retiring in 1985 with 27 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement immensely and savored the time it allowed him to focus on his beloved two grandsons, Chad Selby & Corey Selby.
Mr. Clemons is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Hasty) Clemons; daughters, Shirley (Bob) Selby & Brenda (Paul) Eckstein; brother & sisters, Howard Clemons, Beulah Hudson & Irene Drury. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Estill Clemons; and sisters, Emily Blair, Alma Meyers & Virginia Gill.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Gary Mathis officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, Ohio 45005.
