William Francis Laber, 89, of Middletown, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Ironton, Ohio on June 26, 1927 to parents Francis and Myrta (Meyer) Laber.
Bill served his country in the United States Navy and worked at Armco Steel for 32 years as an Industrial Engineer. He started the Ironton Youth Baseball League and played the violin, performing on local radio stations. He also was a long time volunteer with St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Mr. Laber is survived by his wife, Alberta (Sammons) Laber; sons, Mark W. (Rozanne) Laber, Christopher T. (Debra) Laber, Terrance J. (Debbie) Laber & Jeffery M. (Pamela) Laber; a brother, James (Mary) Laber; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with Military Honors by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
