William "Bill" Joly

William "Bill" Joly, 81, of Middletown, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Heartland of Miamisburg. He was born in Dayton on June 7, 1934 to parents William W. Sr. and Helen Christine (Wagner) Joly.

Bill worked in accounting for Armco/AK Steel Corp for 40 years. He served his country in the United States Army, serving in Germany. Bill was a member of Holy Family Parish and honorary member of the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter play volleyball, playing golf and bocce ball, participating in Fantasy Baseball and attending his Friday morning breakfast club.

Mr. Joly is survived by his wife, Barbara Joyce (Laughlin) Joly; son, Chris Joly; granddaughter, Hannah Joly; brother, Michael Joly; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father Ed Pratt as celebrant. Military honors will be conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard following Mass. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown.
