William J. "Bill" Bors, 88, of Springboro, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on September 22, 1927 to parents Louis and Mary (Csaszny) Bors.
Bill had worked as a tool & die maker at NCR for 22 years then General Motors for 14 years, retiring in 1990. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II then in the United States Army during the Korean war. He was a lifelong & very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Franklin.
Mr. Bors is survived by his wife, Marilyn A. (Sauter) Bors; children, Ann (Jay) Weiskircher, William D. Bors, Anthony L. (Wyonna) Bors & Greg B. (Theresa) Bors; brothers, Louis Bors & Alex (Chris) Bors; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Bors; parents; and sister, Helen Gorski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 115 S. Main Street, Franklin with Father James Manning as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:30 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the Franklin VFW Post #7596 Honor Guard.
