William J Davis

William J. Davis, 96, of Middletown, died Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Piqua, Ohio on June 30, 1917 to parents John C. and Anna Belle (Kokenge) Davis.

Bill worked in production planning at Aeronca for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter, Judith (Frank) Capozzi; brother, Herbert J. (Katie) Davis; sister-in-law, Eileen Quickel; and grandchildren, Frank Capozzi Jr., Tony Capozzi & Bill (Sarah) Ellis. He is also survived by step grandchildren, Lisa (Jim) Hart & Kerry Ellis and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Davis; daughter, Patricia Ellis; parents; sister, Annabelle R. Kudlo; & brother, Paul Davis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
